Why Book a Telemedicine or Online Doctor Video Consultation?
For some conditions, travelling to and from clinics or hospitals may be an issue or may not be necessary at all. With Speedoc’s online doctor consultations, patients can skip the queues in A&E, clinics or hospitals and have the flexibility to get personalised care at their own time and place and the doctor will prescribe the medication on-the-spot if available. Otherwise, delivery can be arranged in a timely manner.
In some cases, all patients need is a simple consultation with a qualified doctor and medications to manage their symptoms until they feel better and telemedicine helps reduce the time, cost and efforts to do this.

Our online doctors are available for video consultations from 8am - 8pm daily for any medical queries, fast-track specialist referrals or medicine refills.
Can I Cancel or Schedule My Telemedicine or Doctor Video Consultation After Booking?
You can cancel your telemedicine appointment. However, there may be cancellation fees charged to your account.

Is There Anything I Need to Prepare Prior to My Telemedicine Online Doctor Consultation?
Please make sure that you have the Speedoc app installed on your smartphone and stable internet connection for the video consultation. In addition, please have your NRIC at hand or uploaded on the app as you will need to present it at the start of the online video consultation for verification.
If I Miss my Telemedicine Appointment, Will I Get Charged?
Yes. If you miss your appointment, you will be charged the full amount. If you need to cancel or reschedule your online doctor consultation booking, please contact our Patient Care Team in advance at +60 11 4166 1178.
Can Speedoc Online Doctors Issue MCs via Telemedicine?
Absolutely, please raise this during your video consultation. Our online doctor will determine if an MC (separate charge applies) is clinically appropriate and prepare everything for you.
What Conditions Can Speedoc Online Doctors Treat via Telemedicine?
Speedoc telemedicine service is suitable for mild and common symptoms, as well as follow-up consultations for chronic conditions, acute and urgent care, fast-track specialist referrals or medicine refills. Some conditions that our online doctors can treat via telemedicine:

How Quickly Can I See a Speedoc Online Doctor via Telemedicine?
The average waiting time for an online doctor consultation is typically 15 minutes. For urgent booking, please contact our Patient Care Team at +60 11 4166 1178.
You may also schedule a telemedicine appointment in advance on the Speedoc app at your preferred time.
How Much Does a Speedoc Telemedicine or Online Doctor Consultation Cost?
Speedoc online doctor consultation starts from RM30 per session for the first 30 minutes. If the doctor determines and has at hand the medication required for your condition, it can be prescribed on-the-spot. Otherwise, our doctors will arrange for your medication to be delivered as soon as possible. Cost of delivery will be incurred by the patient.
If your condition requires a same-day follow-up house call doctor consultation in your home after your video consultation, the cost of your teleconsultation will be waived.
Who are Speedoc House Call Doctors?
All of the Speedoc house call doctors are Malaysia-licensed and registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Is Consulting a Doctor Online via Telemedicine Safe?
Yes. Speedoc online doctor video consultation is conducted in our app where we ensure no third-party will have access to your personal, medical or payment information.
In addition to that, Speedoc is part of the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) regulatory sandbox for telemedicine providers. Telemedicine was launched with the adaptation of the Malaysian Telemedicine Blueprint established by the Ministry of Health in 1997. It envisioned harnessing the power of information and multimedia technology to enhance medical services in the country.
What Can I Do if I Get Disconnected During the Online Doctor Consultation?
Once you have been reconnected to a stable internet connection, simply log back in to your Speedoc app and enter the video consultation room as long as it is within the time limit.
